Really smooth out of the box , I personally find the magnet strength a little to strong, but you can easily change that with a small flathead screw driver.
Overall I think it’s an amazing cube for it’s price, the only I’ve have with it is sometimes it take quite a bit of strength to turn but a bit of speedy lube puts a end to that
